Background Information
The proposal to establish a Department of Governance Studies in the School of Social Sciences in the new and fledgling EP University College, Ho, is no doubt, a step in the right direction. In order to succeed in its bid to develop, Ghana requires not only strong economic, legal, social and political institutions to facilitate efficient delivery of service to the people but also a knowledgeable and active citizenry to support the governance processes through active participation.
