| 1. Programme Philosophy and Objectives The joint 4-year degree programme is structured in such a way that the general agriculture courses constitute about 40% of the total programme while the remaining 60% comprise Business courses. The programme seeks to:
- Meet the need for adaptive, adaptable graduates with the ability to manage change in agribusiness.
- Empower students from a variety of educational backgrounds to fulfill their academic potential.
- Develop students’ personal and interpersonal transferable skills in agribusiness.
- Provide students with opportunities for continuing intellectual development.
- Provide an academic basis for further study of business and management at graduate level and/or graduate training.
- Train students to become either self-employed or high quality employable workforce among agricultural practitioners, agricultural service providers, agricultural businessmen and women with a strong support base in computing and information technology.
