Any of the following: 1. SSSCE/WASSCESHSCE Applicants
(i) Applicants must have three (3) passes in the following Core subjects: English, Mathematics, and Integrated Science/Core Science/Agricultural Science, PLUS
(ii) Passes in three (3) Elective subjects under any of the following five (5) options: OPTION 1: General Agriculture; Chemistry; Physics/Elective Mathematics.
OPTION 2: Biology; Chemistry; Physics/Elective Mathematics.
OPTION 3: Crop Husbandry and Horticulture; Animal Husbandry; Agricultural Economics and Extension; Farm Mechanization and Horticulture; Forestry.
OPTION 4: Accounting; Introduction to Business Management; Business Mathematics; Principles of Costing; Economics; and Elective Mathematics.
OPTION 5: Geography; Economics; and Elective Mathematics.
- The Cumulative Aggregate of the six (6) subjects must be 24 or better.
2. GCE ‘A’ Level Applicants
- GCE ‘O’ Level credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language and Mathematics
PLUS
- At least two (2) ‘A’ Level passes from any of the following:
(a) Chemistry/Physics; Biology/Agricultural Science; (b) Business Subjects; and (c) Geography, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics.
- At least one of the ‘A’ Level subjects must be at a grade not below ‘D’.
3. Certificate in Agriculture from any accredited Agricultural College (Kwadaso, Ohawu, Ejura, Kpong Tamale, etc.)
PLUS - Six (6) SSSCE/WASSCE/SHSCE Passes: Three (3) Core subjects including English, Mathematics, and Integrated Science/Core Science/Agricultural Science AND three (3) Electives under Science/General Agriculture/Business
OR - Five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level Credit Passes including English Language and Mathematics.
- All applicants must have at least three (3) years relevant and proven working experience.
Note: Every Certificate in Agriculture applicant should attach evidence of relevant working experience.
4. Mature Applicants - Must be at least 25 years.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years relevant and proven work experience.
- Must pass a qualifying examination (EPUPE) in General Paper and a Special Paper covering questions in Animal Science, Crop Science, and Agricultural Economics. May be interviewed.
- Candidates who do not have GCE ‘O’ Level credit passes or SSSCE/WASSCE/SHCE passes in English Language/Core English and Mathematics/Core Mathematics will be required to take EPUPE in the applicable subject(s).
- Must attach certified copy of birth certificate and evidence of relevant working experience.
5. Foreign Students Foreign students may be considered for admission if they hold qualifications equivalent to those mentioned above. However, they must show evidence of proficiency in English i.e. attach certified copies of this evidence to their applications.
